A Weekend With My Friends

Thanks Rosalie for I had a great time hanging out with you and Annie yesterday. Until next time again hehe. It's so nice to spend time with filipino friends sometime to ease away loneliness and homesickness I feel in this completely strange world where there is no other family around but husband, baby and friends.

It was such a nice day yesterday although a little bit cooler perfect to be outside. I did not bring my baby with me because my husband volunteered to look after the baby while I am out there nagbiga! We went late to church and hear mass real quick and then headed to the newly opened seafood buffet resto and lastly did our long walk at the mall, window shopping. It was indeed a fun and enjoyable day for the wives.
... the ladies by the entrance of St. Elizabeth Anne Seaton Catholic church..
... we were late for the mass so we went out before the kalawat has ended.. ...
... at the mall pahuway..
.... making silly joke with her.. bleeeeeeeh..

We watched this animated movie the other night and it is one of the movies that I love since the incredibles. It is suitable for the whole family especially kids of all ages. Even our baby never turned her head away from the t.v once the movie had started. I must say, she loves dog and Bolt just caught her attention and finished watching the entire movie until the end. Bolt is now available on dvd so if you wanna watch it, just rent it at your favorite movie store or at Red Box.

weight loss supplement

At first I thought it was hard for me to loss weight. I was getting worried that I will become fat after baby. From 86 pounds went up to 107. I was stucked 107 pounds for months and so I did a little bit of you know "after 6" diet method. It somehow worked for me but not totally reached to my desired weight at that time.

When I went to the Philippines, I gained pounds even more because there are just temptations everywhere and I cannot say to it. I was beginning to look for weight loss supplement for me to take when I get to US but an unexpected illness struck me when we flew back home that caused me to rapidly went down to 96 lbs without the need to take for supplements or any diet pills.

3 Years In America

American Flag Pictures, Images and Photos

I didn't know that I turned three years of living here in America last March 15. I had so many things in mind the past few days that I almost forgotten the very date I set foot in Uncle Sam's land. Actually, I did arrive in US in March 13,2006 and stayed in CA for two nights. The actual date of my anniversary here in Texas is 15.

I spoke with my husband about the three years I've spent living with him here and he said to me that it seemed like I've been here forever. Well, that is what he thinks but as for me I still have this little "homesickness" in me sometimes. When will I learn to accept that this is my new home and Pinas is just my vacation country now? I don't know. Only time can tell when. So cheers to me and hoping for so many many years of staying in America of course with my beloved family (husband and baby).

Everyday Tornado

This is it. This is the stage when my baby loves messing around with stuff she can see. Toys especially are scattered all over the place. If adults are too careless he/she could be stepping onto Jadyn's toys that could cause an injury.
Tornado everyday is the scene of our house now that our baby knows to scatter things. It can only get cleaned or toys out of the way when she is sleeping and when she wakes up, there she goes again sundon ang agi ni mommy katag napud balik.
I don't mind her doing that though. She is just giving me things to do when I am bored and thanks to her, she accompany me during broad bored daylight when my husband is out for work.

Side A Free Concert

The video embedded in this post is a video that I personally took during Side A concert for Valentine's Day. It was my first time to attend such a grand concert of one of the famous bands in the Philippines, Side A.

Not only this band is my favorite but also their songs that really touches the hearts of millions of filipinos. At that time I attended their concert, it was very late in the evening and I had my baby with me, it was raining so hard as well but I didn't mind it as long as I can get to watch Side A live in concert and it was FREE!

healthcare career

Someday when Jadyn starts schooling, I may have to find new things to entertain myself. I am tired of being always in the house you know? I am thinking of going back to school and get a healthcare career and be a healthcare professional one day. Not necessarily becoming a doctor or a nurse but a CNA course will do as long as it pays good salary for me to be able to help my husband financially.

Banana Girl

Jadyn loves every kind of fruit I give to her. Bananas are one of them. Each time I show it to her, she would just grab it and says "am..am.. am..am", if she does that, meaning she wants it real bad. All I could do is chuckle because her dada now has a competition of his banana.
Our little girl is simply a fruit lover. It's nice though because eating fruit is healthy so she'll grow strong! I am yet to introduce other kinds of fruits to her like avocados and peaches.

If you are looking for something that has something to do with electronics, gadgets, mp3, computers and so many other stuff that you can find on the internet like the video card, I highly recommend you buy it at www.buy.com because they have everything you need in their store with excellent customer service and fast shipping. I can say it for certain for I tried shopping there two times already.

Separation

We are currently in seperation at this point. My husband is in the living room while Jadyn and I are in the study room. I don't have my computer right now and just using my husband's. So he is there and we're here. We don't normally get separated from each other just for now and until I can get back my computer from the Geek Squad in Bestbuy.

I want it to be fixed especially the microphone so I can do voice chat with my family in Pinas. It's my sister who knows how to chat and my parents cannot so as much as possible, voice chat is better than chatting that is why I am so eager to have my computer fixed.

unlocked cellphone

The reason why I am not getting myself a cellphone for three years of living in America is that it will only adds up to our telephone bills every month. It is no use for me at this moment because I am just staying at home and I am not driving either. So what's the use of possessing a cellphone while my buddies can be contacted through my yahoo messenger?

Once I start driving, I don't know when is that going to happen, I may have to get me an unlocked phone. An unlocked phone is a cell phone that can be used with various GSM-compatible carriers worldwide (a GSM phone requires a SIM card). That means an unlocked cellphone can be used within United States with T-Mobile, Cingular/AT&T, etc., provided the phone supports the frequencies of the service provider.

Transporter 3

I am a great fan of Jason Statham so when my husband brought home his latest movie which is the Transporter 3, I felt overjoyed. At first I thought, the movie was silly at the beginning. There were lots of fight actions but why do they have to have it in slow motion with matching music.

Then as we got to the middle until the end, I fell inlove with the movie and thought wow it was the best! Looking forward to watching for more of you Jason Statham. You are a one hunk bald guy that I like so much!

diet pills for you

I am not against with people taking steps to losing weight by buying themselves some diet pills because I myself almost bought some for me when at first I thought I couldn't lose those baby fats but when I got back from the Philippines, I got sick and all it takes is to not eat for two days and not having appetite eating my meals for one full week. Then voila! From 105 lbs. down to 96 now and I am very happy with it.

I'm On Facebook

Yes, you hear it right! I am on facebook but I am not that active in that site, unlike friendster, I can stay there for hours browsing for new photos of my friends or people I know. I tried signing up on facebook just even before I went to the Philippines and decided not to reveal my real identity nor post my pic over there for I try to establish privacy for myself and my life

I don't want to ever happen again the same incident happened to me on friendster twice a times already. I hate that. People screwing me while in fact they don't know me. If you try to ask me if I am on FB, yes I do have an FB account but you just have to guess my profile name over there because I am not gonna tell you except for close friends who are on my list already.

Comfort and Privacy

... are the two main things that I love about living in America. Whenever I need a "me time" I can just do it without being bothered by anyone. Having a baby around is not an excuse for I can easily put her to sleep and voila! I can have an hour spent to myself.

Another thing is the comfort that this country has to offer. When we need to go out of the house and buy something, the car is ready waiting outside. No need to commute, makipag agawan seats with other passengers or makipag siksikan sa multicab/jeepney. Here in America we have soft bed, water in the faucet, no rough pavements, no polluted or dusty air, online shopping all these can only be experienced here.

In the Philippines on the other hand, there'll never be lonely times for me. My family are just around the corner to cheer me up, friends are just one text away, malling anytime for tricycles/ taxi is there... but I don't like pilit pilit init feeling on my skin plus the abog, also the mga bugal- bugalon tambay boys in the kanto are some things that I hate about PI.

Nice Day At The Beach

Remembering our day spent with my whole family at the beach put a smile on my face. That day was like a miracle day for my filipino family because we all gathered together in one place. Talagsa ra jud kaayo maganid ang mga taw magpundok sa okasyon such as this as in jud tiaw pa!

My brothers even if they prioritize driving looking for money spent their precious time with us and that I am so thankful it happened. We were so happy, laughing out loud playing in the water, throwing out seaweeds into my big brother's face. One against all 8 of us! Ang kasadya atong panahona dili ikabaylo baw oi mingaw kos Pinas pa jud!

Getting Up Late

My baby and I are just taking our time sleeping in bed even if it's late already. I can't blame her. She is still tired from the long trip. It is now 12:16 noontime and she is still in bed, curled up and sleeping. If only pee didn't wake me up, I could still be laying down in bed until now. But once I can get up for just a matter of seconds, I cannot go back to sleep anymore.
However though, I plan of resting well today since we don't have anything to do today except stay in the house and probably just be folding clothes for a while then off to bed again. It's only been a week since we arrive from the Philippines and our body are still confused about the new time difference, with that being said, you can clearly understand that we are still adjusting between PI and US time.
