baby shower

I am looking forward to attending another baby shower in one of my close friends in Fort Worth. Hopefully, it will be Rose's baby shower since Annie has now her baby girl out.

Oh I've never known anything about baby shower until I came here in America and got pregnant. On my 6th-month time of pregnancy, it was Janine who threw me my baby shower party up North. I had so much fun plus plentiful of filipino foods. Aside from that I received alot of useful gifts for the baby too!

June Weekend Appointments

I like it when we have plans set for each particular date and weekend to keep myself entertained and occupied. This coming weekend, the first weekend of June I do have an appointment scheduled for baptism of our friend's twins in Mesquite. It sure is quite a long drive but I don't mind it, it is my pleasure to be one of the Godparents of the twins also it's gonna be my first "pangugos" here in Uncle Sam so I take advantage of it. Then the following day which is Monday, I will have my teeth cleaning at the dentist (this one is more exciting for me since it's the beginning of my teeth being fixed toward a BRIGHTER AND SWEETER SMILE), I need the cleaning first before they put braces on!! Weewww hala matarong na jud ni akong sapaw nga ngipon? Unbelievable!

Second weekend is that the whole family will be heading off South in San Antonio to visit Pops in Lackland AFB. It's been a while since I saw him and it's just right to visit him sooner. Third weekend will be Annette and Phillip's wedding. Annette is the daughter of Mike (best buddy of my husband here) and for that I don't wanna miss the occasion. These people have been so good to us you know and I wanna witness the tying of knot pretty soon.

Hmmm couldn't think of anything else to share in this poor blog of mine, just giving my visitors my to-do-lists hekhek! You all have a nice one!

give life to your boring floor

In this house we are living in right now has a wooden floor which is a great advantage for us having a baby who is unstoppable. Our toddler is just so mobile now that she can't stay still whenever she is awake. Many times she fell down, bumped her head on the floor and worst fell from her crib. When that happened, she hit her head real hard and if there weren't any Rugs in our bedroom I don't know what could have happened to her. She probably got broken bones after she fell down.

Oh talking about rugs, we do have several of them although we rolled them out long time ago since we welcomed a puppy into our house. At that time Chichai the dog was still on training, she peed and pooped everywhere so we decided take all the Rugs off completely. We will just put them back on eventually.

Anyways, rugs are cool. They add beauty to your boring floor and it also protects your furniture rubbed against the floor that might cause damage to it. If you are looking for natural fine quality rugs try searching for it at www.naturalrugstore.co.uk. Check all the products they have online and find out which kind suits your taste.

The Scenes of The Past And Present

Yesterday morning at 5 a baby girl was born named Annette Abigail weighing 7.11 lbs in Harris Methodist hospital. She is Tony and Annie's baby. We visited the couple just hours later after the baby was delivered through C-section. It was so nice seeing the fresh newborn of the couple and here are the snaps we took. I was happy to see the gorgeous baby of my friend. She is blessed to have her in this world!

But before that, let me share the same scene that took place 16 months ago. I was the one whom they visited at the hospital giving birth to my Jadyn. I was the one who was in bed and it was Annie carrying my newborn. Photos below.

THE "BEFORE" SCENE

....the lady holding a baby is Annie and it's my Jadyn in her arms--- the newborn

... the couple visiting me at the hospital..... this happened 16 months ago.....

THE PRESENT SCENE

.......... myself in my arms is baby Abigail and just born yesterday!
.... the present scene, isn't this look familiar to the one above way back 16 months ago? hmmm interesting isn't it?

I Missed Them!

I didn't know how much I missed my family in PI until I've seen them on webcam. Last night I had quite a blast chatting with my father whom I was not able to talk on the phone for a month for the fact that he visited his family in Davao City, he had been away from home that long and for that I couldn't get a chance talking to him on the phone just 'coz of the bad signal. Finally last night, we were able to do voice chatting. We laughed the whole time we chatted.

....that's me and my father captured in the webcam above.. can you tell we had a good laugh together???

And then again today, my grandfather arrived from the province, they asked him to sit in front of the computer so I can see him live on webcam. I was surprised for I didn't expect to see him today even just through the internet. Oh it's just amazing seeing him once again. I learned that my lolo Boning is gonna be celebrating his 80th birthday this coming May 25th. Many more years to celebrate your lovely yet tough life lolo! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

....... I miss you lolo! I truly do! muaahhh

A Package of Dress For My Baby!!

Today my baby Jadyn received a complimentary box of dresses from my dear friend Inahan Maureen from North Carolina. She told me a week ago that she gonna send my baby her girl's outgrown clothes and yes today it finally arrived. Gosh the box was small in size and when I lift it up it is so heavy!!!!

No wonder it is so heavy because there are lots and lots of beautiful dresses inside nicely folded so it can all fit in just one small box! I am so happy to have received those cute dresses from you Inahan and I can't thank you enough for this! Lots for summer dress and also jumpers with matching long sleeve tops for the Winter. Hmm looks like a big savings to me for I don't have to buy my baby some clothes for a while. Look at the snaps below with the dress and my baby.

He Has To Do The Car

It is our second day of our weekend already and still haven't gone out of the house since yesterday. The weather is good, cloudy outside and kinda damp which is my kind of weather to be going anywhere but even if I insist of going out, we can't.

My good husband was working in the white car yesterday and left one of the windows open all night and it rained. So the result is the interior is soaking wet and now he's working on it. Drying up the water that penetrated inside. Geeezzz kung swertihin nga naman oh! He has a good reason to be staying in the house again today... huh car car niya nalupos sa uwan! Kinsa sala niya?

Just for Laughs!

Do you notice the attached photo above? I got this in the mailbox and thought of sharing it here because it's funny. This is an advertisement for landscaping business probably by a Mexican or for some white men that are unaware of their horrible spelling.

If you are to promote your business like this, would you care to at least make a good impression of your possible customers? I do. Try to read the writings above and you will actually see the words are misspelled. LANDSCAPPING, MAITANCE, DEBREE REMOVEL instead of landscaping, maintenance and debris removal. Hayy Lord forgive me for being so himantayon lolz! I mean no offense in posting this, just pure laughs here!

Mother's Day Photos

Our celebration for Mother's Day was just so simple. T'was like any ordinary day but I felt awesome. Rose made it happen again like many other occasions that had passed. First she brought me to the Chinese restaurant for a quick lunch then off to the mall and window shopping for possible Mother's Day sale. We spent most of our day at the mall and then went to her place and cooked a small dinner for us. We finished our day by sharing dinner together with Annie and her husband having grilled fish and beef steak. So that is how our day went. How about you mothers out there? What did you do?
....... in front of the resto, a quick pose after our lunch..

....... then at the mall, a quick rest for we were exhausted..

A Mother's Day Surprise Gift from Hubby!!!

I'm the luckiest wife of all, I should say! Of course everyone knows that I have married the man who is exceptional! My man is the best man alive on Earth. He listens to me and grant me my wish. That is proven several times already!

Weeks I go I had told him that I want a magic sing microphone on my birthday. He just nodded his head as if it was just a plain favor for him to get. Who would have thought that my "supposed to be birthday gift" would come earlier??

Friday of this week came, UPS man rang the doorbell, he left a big package outside unknowingly what's inside it. I took it inside and put aside and went back to my computer in the study room. Something in me telling me to get back to that package and read the label. It says MAGIC SING!!

No it can't be true! I don't wanna give myself false hope just because of the label. It happened to me last time, the box was awesome but the thing inside is not what I expected. With full of anticipation I opened the box and WOW it is what is written on the label. A MAGIC SING, the latest model I have!

It's an ET-18K in gold with 2,070 built in songs. It comes with two free song chips of 474 songs in one of the chips and a chip holder.

He said he bought the upgraded Gold Edition of the EG-18000 for me so I don't have to upgrade it for a while. Wow thank you so much my Lalabs! This is indeed a very very nice gift you've given me on Mother's Day! I really like it and I find it useful for this is something me and our baby can use during dull moments at home. LIPAY JUD KAAYO KOS AKONG REGALO, THANK YOU LORD!!!!

Mommy's Little Helper

Not long from now my baby is going to be able to help me do with household chores. I wanna teach her simple things to do at home so she'll grow up to be responsible in cleaning after her mess. I don't want her to be a spoiled brat nagdaku way kamahoan sa kinabuhi.

Talking about responsibility. Today seems to be a productive day for me. I already finished doing some of my house works here. I fed the baby and I'm happy to know that she'd eaten much this morning. Things I did are vacuuming the rugs in the bedroom, dusting and sweeping the entire floor except the living room which I am about to do in few minutes.
Baby is asleep that is why I'm on the computer looking for nice things on the internet.

Our latest snaps this week are photos below. First and second photos are of me and my baby with her balloon I brought from the birthday party I attended in Mesquite. Related posting here Going for Birthday party. This were taken in our front yard, the surrounding looks green for it's Spring!

The third photo is of me and my friend Rose, Freddie the birthday boy in red shirt and Charles, Deden's future boyfriend! His mom nanaad pwede ba daw mauyab si Baden niya, silly mom!

hope she can play a piano

I admire young children who have the talent in playing a piano. I wish our Jadyn can also play when she is older. I know she can, to play piano can be learned quickly for smart kids like ours. There is a piano center located couple of blocks away from here and I told my husband it's a good idea if we can send our baby there and he said, "what piano? I want her to learn how to play the guitar!". Ah she can learn both, no need to argue with that.

Playing My Dingdong

Dingdong is a junk snack food in the Philippines that cost one peso each. It is the favorite most of the people who are crazy munching over junk foods in PI for it is composed of mixed nuts, cornick and green peas.
Below are photos of my Deden having fun playing with my dingdong. I brought dingdong when I went to the Philippines two months ago because I love it.
.... silly baby with matching facial expression while messing up with my dingdong..

we need a new camera

Last night my husband and I were talking about replacing our not so old camera because it is so slow and we always missed capturing our baby's worth keeping actions. When she does it we try to make sure we are also ready to shoot her but so unfortunate of us and can't take a picture the moment we need it.

Well, it would be a good idea to buy a new camera for us as well as a bigger storage for our pictures, a 4gb micro sd probably will be good?

Yes, I Catch The Virus!

I expect for my husband to be better now after almost a week of sniffling and coughing. He brought the virus here with us in Fort Worth after he visited his father in San Antonio last week. What do I expect? We are under one roof and so it is expected that the virus will be passed to each other before one can get better.

At first, it was the baby who was sick for two days but I was so firm on giving her the medicine so she got well quickly. I have been listening to myself for the past days and yes today, I finally catch the virus that my husband is bringing here. I now start coughing because my throat is really itchy.

Looks like I am going to stay in the house for my weekend just so not to spread the stupid virus to other people. Hey don't get me wrong, it's just a usual virus we have I think. Far from Swine flu virus!!
