Goodbye 2009 Welcome 2010

happy new year 2010 Pictures, Images and Photos

Looking back the year 2009 I certainly say it was an awesome one. I was able to fulfill all my goals for that year. Everything fell into places as planned and that thought alone makes me very thankful for the Lord above. Realizing the graces He bestowed us makes me feel loved and fortunate. A loving husband, beautiful and healthy child, nice family and friends around and a healthy marriage is what I got. I may not have all the things I want but at least I have everything I need and that's what matters to me.

Although we've kind of having rough times financially at the end of this year but we are still blessed and doing good. Surviving, ika nga lolz! Oh one major thing that took place this year is that we were able to have our house back and it happened in our 5th anniversary, isn't that the greatest??

Freshly Cut Flowers

I do not regret I bought several bulbs of Paperwhites 3 weeks ago. Look at these beautiful white blooms I got here, soooo pure and so white eh. The plant is called paperwhites and it give me such sweet aroma when you enter the house. It is an indoor plant, so growing it isn't so hard. I placed 3 pots of it near the front door where they can have some sun early morning which helps them grow so fast and bear flowers.

......photo above is shot of my flowers freshly cut straight from the pot where I originally planted them..

...above photo are my paperwhites in a pot. ...there are more blooms coming so excited to cut them again and put in a flower vase.

need new faucets

We have been working on this house we live now for maybe 3 months and with that we are not even halfway of our job. I used to work harder and faster during the first two months but I slowed down. There is no boss around here to command me what to do. I am just taking it slowly as I don't want to stress myself so much to the point of murmuring all the time how tired I am after working around here.

So far we have done a good painting job and replaced some of the old technology bulbs that were in this house. Next things to replace are the faucets in all three bathrooms and in the kitchen. They are old and looks ugly. Hopefully we can all make our wishes come true and enjoy the new house we have.

Remembrance From My Hardwork

I've been blogging for money for two years and a half now and all those years I have not saved up enough money that I can withdraw through a form of cash just because of the fact that I am sending financial support to my family in monthly basis. I can't save a thing because once I know I have some money in my paypal all I could think of is buying something worth using.

I bought so many things of my money from blogging already, most of which are my signature purses, over two dozens of shoes and other things I used in the house. The recent purchase made from my SOCIAL SPARK money is this 12-pc cookware set from Macy's.

Through Rosalie again I got a pretty good deal on this one. Its original price was 100 USD down to 59.99 then the final sale price I got is the 29.99. Isn't that awesome? Now I got new things to use in the kitchen and to think that it's my hard earned money that is what makes cooking an adventure one!

White Christmas Indeed!!

Yahooooooooo finally we had our snow today! I've been waiting for this to happen and oh God, You heard me!!! White Christmas eve is indeed A DREAM COME TRUE not just for me but for people in Texas. We rarely have snow 3 inches thick here so for us it is soooooooo exciting. For some people, thick snow is troublesome especially those who drive but definitely not for me and my baby.

Fact is, it is our Jadyn's first snow and for that I am thankful. She was able to play the snow and she love it! Sharing the pictures I took when the snow just started until it got thicker of 4 inches late in the afternoon.

..photo above is of me lying on my belly to the snow... go ahead laugh at me..I don't care..snow is indeed fun
.... second picture is of my baby with her FIRST BIG SNOW BALL
.... so thick..and getting thicker now
... just outside our front door... a heart for my husband...

Christmas Goodies From Colorado

So thoughtful of this certain lady I know years ago through the internet for sending me her blessings from the Philippines. It is my first early Christmas present I received so far. Not only she sent me mixed dried pusit and buwad but she also sent a Disney gem fishing toy for my little girl. Big thank you to you day Lerio for being sweet and for thinking about me every time you swallow your buwad.

You just don't know how happy I am to know you are there sharing your kindness to people who dearly missed our very own buwad. Hmmpp I can't wait for Christmas and fry them for a small feast me and my friends are planning to have! I'll share the photos later to acknowledge your thoughtfulness, day Ler.

Wild Ducks Watch

My baby just loves any kind of animals. When she sees animals on t.v she would exclaim with so much happiness. How did she learn to love animals by the way? I don't know when that started.

Anyways, sharing you pictures, below are of the ducks by the pond in San Antonio. She just really loves hanging out there for the fact that she can have a free wild duck watch. There were like a couple of ducks near the pond just taking their time resting. So fortunate of us to have stayed in the AFV2 guestroom exactly where the pond is.

pet insurance

In the country where I grew up having as many as 10 dogs or cats in the house wasn't a problem at all. We are not bothered as to how many domesticated animals we can afford because we don't really spend money on them. We just feed them with whatever food leftover from us and they are good.

Unlike here in America, it is very costly to have at least a dog in the household. It is such a burden to people who choose to have two or more for it cost a lot of money for medical alone. Some would even get their pets a pet insurance just so they can have something to use in case something bad is going to happen with their beloved pets. How lucky are the pets, Americans treat them like human beings.

pond supplies

I want to go back to the ranch we've been last 2007. It is just an hour away from the city and the ranch owned by my husband's friend's daughter now and it has a pond in the middle. The pond serves as the source of water to drink for their few animals in the ranch. I have seen the view and I thought it was pretty down there.

I think in order to keep a pond alive, you should have all the pond supplies need to keep the water clean for the animals. I think they put something in that pond because the water itself looks so clear and green despite of the dark cloudy sky and the grass surrounding it wasn't green anymore as it was during mid Fall when we visited the ranch.

Messy Bedroom

I really thought my baby doesn't know how to make a mess in her bedroom but one day she just learned how to open the drawers where all her clothes were placed. The time I took this photo of her caught in action making a mess, it wasn't that bad yet and as days passed, her bedroom was becoming like that of a pig pen. So messy that when I go to her bedroom I tripped to any of her hard plastic toys that almost killed me. Accidents do happen anytime anywhere and I am afraid that will happen to me.

What I did yesterday is clean up the mess, taped the plastic containers so she can't go through her clothes and scatter them then emptied all the drawers so she has nothing to mess with and put the clothes under her crib. So if ever she wants to make a mess, it will just be her toys and no more clothes.

new baths

My husband and I were debating whether to change Jadyn's bathroom's color because I painted it dark pink and white and my husband doesn't like the color. He thinks the pink paint is too dark for in a bathroom so he wants to repaint it with something light. Ok, that is fine with me as long as he do it for I am not going to redo that bathroom ever. Baths are the most essential parts of the house. They need to be flawlessly clean for it is where humans relieve themselves.

Once our baths are done, I promise to keep up with the cleaning because we have a baby that loves spending time in the bathroom especially in the tub. I want her to be germ-free while playing in the tub you know.

Speaking about baths, I found this website that is specializing in selling bathroom furniture, bath accessories, showers, shower taps, bathroom toilets, bathroom tiles and a whole lot more. Right now they currently have stock clearance of up to 55% off which is nice since we do still have to buy for more bath accessories. I love it when I see a website that offers clearance sale, this way I can buy stuff we need for less than the original price.

Guilty Pleasure

Should I feel guilty again for doing online shopping for myself? I think I'm just a slight spender compare to other ladies out there because I only buy things that I really want. I just don't jump into buying something that I cannot use, being practical means buying for reasonably-priced item such as these boots I just purchased minutes ago and that's what I am. I realized that the boots I have are kind of old although they still look good and are in good shape but I really think I should buy one that is comfy, stylish and most of all a pair of boots that don't rip my budget off. Frugal huh??

These are simple yet fashionable light colored boots that I have been longing to buy. Tonight, I got 'em with a 40% discount by using coupon code. wEEWWW can't wait for them to arrive.

drug rehab

Do you know someone who suffers from drug addiction? If you answer yes to that then you might want to suggest to the family of this someone to choose the right drug rehab center so that he gets the treatment he needs. I know there are plenty of drug rehabs out there but choosing for the right one is kind of difficult. You just have to do your homework first before settling down to something that would really take care of their patients and not just milking you once you put your loved one in their rehabilitation. I think Unity Recovery Center’s sounds promising for its objective is to provide the highest quality personalized drug rehab and alcohol treatment center services in Florida at an affordable price.

Filipino Christmas Party 2009

My family and friend Rose attended the Filipino Christmas party for 2009 held in Lewisville at Myra's house yesterday. We all had a lot of fun together seeing a lot of filipinas at the party. As usual, when there is a party foods of various kind were present as if it was a war of food for there were really plenty of it like fried milkfish, pork bbq (Filipino style), monggos soup, shrimp sinigang, bihon, chicken adobo, tuna kinilaw, tortang talong, egg roll, fajitas and a whole lot more. Even the desserts were flooding on the counter top weewwwwwww. I couldn't stop myself from loving the food only I didn't have ample room in my stomach yesterday. If only I could eat all of the foods so I don't have to keep thinking about it until now.

The girls who attended the party were mostly from DFW area and I knew most of them as I met them before a couple times over. My Jadyn was able to meet the fil-am kids too so do my friends for the first time. We took a group picture before we left at the party as a remembrance for this year's Christmas celebration with them. Here I share with you guys our few shots. Enjoy.

I Deserve It!

Yabadabadoooooooo!! At last I got my new Dooney and Bourke purse from Rose today and it's just lovely. I soooooooo love it. It is spacious inside, perfect to carry all my stuff. I got to use it right away when we went out with friends today. I got a pretty good deal on this one. Got this purse for a total of $113 after tax and a 25% discount that she used when she bought it for me. Thanks a lot to Rose for it wouldn't be this low if she didn't use the coupon code and the employee card. This is my third DB purse and looking forward to having more in the future that if blogging stays good for the coming months. This purse is a reward for myself for blogging hard all these years and it serve as sort of a Christmas present for myself also.

Should I Expect For Snow Tomorrow?

The weather forecast says that snow will be expected tomorrow. This is going to be the second snow of this season, Fall. Yesterday was snowing in some parts of North Texas including Dallas, so unfortunate of me for it wasn't snowing here much, so no fun at all.

I shall see tomorrow though. Snow makes me excited. I have my baby now and I think I can enjoy the snow with her with me outside. Cross fingers that mother nature will shower us at least an inch thicker of snow. Tomorrow is gonna be 26 the lowest in temperature arggsss coooooooollddddd.

I Wanna Go Home

This song "Home" by Michael Buble really catches my emotion right now. It's December the 1st and not long from now, it will be Christmas. The more I think of it coming, the more the lonelier I get. I wanna go home this Christmas ok?

I hate to think, hear, watch music and videos that has something to do with Christmas becauseeeeeee it just makes me sicker! Hohohoho I long to experience the Noche Buena and fireworks at midnight again for once in my life. Four years not being able to hear firecrackers is so deafening to me that I wanna go home right away, can you hear me? I wannaaaa go home!!!
