I was in my bravest self this afternoon. I couldn't believe we made it safe home (although I almost hit the car behind me in the other lane), all in all it was a fun and nice try to be driving in a freeway of 60 mph. The first time ever I drove to a very fast speed and absolutely not my last drive there either. Now that I've conquered my fear nothing can stop me from practicing more of my driving and hopefully get my driver's license.
As a matter of fact, I didn't know my husband had a plan of bringing me to the freeway going to Kohls and return something. I couldn't say no yet nervous. Wow that was amazing! After our business inside the store I practiced backing up in the parking lot a bit then I drove back home anxiously. That is when I was buzzed by other driver.
I got buzzed when I was about to change lanes, the reason is that I wasn't watching of the cars in my side before changing lane and that I was thankful my husband was so fast in maneuvering the steering wheel a little bit back to my lane! It scared the hell out of me, you know that?

Their Style Of Fashion
I snap this picture at Walmart last weekend when we went for grocery shopping while waiting for my husband at the counter finishing to load the stuff in the cart.Niggah's hip hop style of clothing is just ridiculously foolish. Despite of their dark colored skin they love wearing very strong colors of clothes that makes it really weird making themselves look like an idiot. To top of it all, they wear their pants real low that they keep holding them when walking... just ridiculous... giving themselves a big job to do while at the same time showing off their kind of fashion.
I just don't get their style, ya know? This reminds me of one of the contestants of American Idol season 9, a black man auditioned in AI who was a little older for the show and sung his own composition "pants on the ground! pants on the ground! you're looking like a fool with your pants on the ground!"
I Choose Over Laptop
If I were to choose between a laptop and a desktop, I would surely choose having a laptop to use all my life because it is so handy, portable and most of all it can travel with me anytime I am out of the house. I can just bring it anywhere in the house too if I decide to move to another room without bringing the whole desk with me. Also my laptop is wifi capable so I don't have to worry getting disconnected from the internet each time I move it from one room to another. Ah the convenience of having a laptop. My computer is a little over two years old and has been dropped 3 times by my baby and it is still providing its service to me. What an awesome laptop I have, I shall say!

What I Need Soon
I feel somehow slightly envious of some people who work. Yes, I do have paid blogging as my sideline while staying at home but at times I couldn't help thinking that it is not enough. What I need to get soon is an employment not just to make money but also to keep myself occupied during the day. I don't need to work full time, a part time job will do when my husband is off work. I guess I just have to open this thing up to him sometime and see if he allows me to get a part time job this time. Several times I attempted telling him that I want to work but there is only one thing he kept telling me that he did not marry me to make money! Argggsss! That is obviously relays that he never want me to work.

Older Neighborhood
.... above photo is clear shot of Rockmoor Drive where our house can be located.. we were going home from a long walk when I took this one todayAccording to my husband he cannot live in a newer neighborhood as it has no yard (so very little privacy from people passing by peeking into his windows), narrow streets, short driveway and houses aren't impressive. They are just like boxes with cover on top from afar forming a house. B-O-R-I-N-G as he say. For him, living in a new neighborhood are best suited for people who do not do any yard work, someone who will just go to work, go home, stay inside the house, sleep and go to work again.
Certainly he wouldn't change a thing where we are at right now. It is such a privilege to live in an older, nicer, quieter and peaceful(less crimes, no scumbags around) neighborhood like Edgecliff Village.
We have just moved in this place three months ago and already we have learned to like the place, a lot! Friendly neighbors as well as wider streets that you wouldn't worry for your child to be in danger when you go out for a walk for it is just very quiet here. Just perfect for raising a family!
Since it was such a beautiful day at Wintertime here in our place, we took advantage of strolling around this new neighborhood we're in. Actually it has been a week we had plenty of sunshine but yesterday and today was perfect to not feel the chills at all although it was gusty yet enough to enjoy the fresh air and the pretty view this place can offer.
So here goes the pictures taken from my mobile phone yesterday and today just to prove how beautiful the weather here lately.
...the house on top of the hill I saw yesterday... the photo shows the back view of the house which for me looks neat and cool.
....my baby with her doll in a carriage just started our walk two houses down from our home..
... Edgecliff neighborhood, the road here is kind of elevated so she was going faster this time...
... thankfully I found a mini park just in this block we belong, I plan of going there when I need time to get away from the house for a short time..
.... one of the houses that I like at the back of our house..

....the sign says CLIFFISDE PARK and am lovin' it
...... also the little playground 4 blocks away located in a new neighborhood... to get there, we'll have to cross two busy streets!

Weird Proposal
As days pass by, I feel ashamed of myself for the thought of me turning four years of living here in America this coming March. Why? Because all those years wasted by not being able to drive. Yes, I did practice a couple times before but I wasn't motivated enough to learn to drive and be confident behind the wheels so here I am, still stuck in the house and I feel like crippled.
Last night, I had an open proposal to my husband. I asked him if he could allow me and the baby to spend half and half here and in the Philippines. What I mean is 6 months in the Philippines and 6 months here so I don't get too bored and homesick during times like these where I cannot go out simply because I can't drive.

He thought it was weird! He then added, "what you gonna cost me hundreds of dollars?" because he knew if I stay in the Philippines too long, he's gonna support us every month haha, smart guy. I replied, "no because I am going to look for a job over there, applying in the call center maybe".
Inspite of my encouragement, it doesn't seem to be convincing enough for him to allow us and just go with my deal. Instead he told me, there is no job in the Philippines for you! After that conversation, I came to realize whether to learn how to drive or rot in the corner of the house. It's up to me and to him when he gonna send me to the driving school.

roadside assistance
Isn't it great to drive safely all the time and wouldn't it be nice to know that there is always a roadside assistance 24/7 anywhere in the US so drivers can feel confident driving? I do believe we all need it especially driving at night with a family in tow so if there is something happens, you can just rely on to a great roadside assistance service that a company is offering you. If I were to drive I would love to have this kind of service so I don't have to worry when I have a flat tire along a busy road. Of course it is going to be another expense aside from insurance payment every month but I think it is worth the sweat of my husband.

Before And After
Photos below show the difference of our study room. My husband did a good job in transforming our study from dull to refreshingly cool room. He even carefully culk the cracks that run across the room in between the wall and the wood paneling .
....below is the old study room shot, as you can see it looks dull and very dark, the yellow carpet which is over ten years old that looks gross.
.......this photo is the current look of our study. hubby just finished working in this part of the house. he painted it meadow light and white ceiling. we used light blue curtain here to match our hall way which is also light blue. the carpet and wall definitely are a match too!

filters and more
Lately I hear my husband complaining about the taste of filtered water coming from our refrigerator. It's tasteless, he said. I too, noticed it but I just don't complain about it. I told him why not consider buying a filter online and look at different prices including HAVC filter so we don't keep drinking this water that we don't like? Water filtration is important so we don't consume all the minerals that is in the water, with that said, we really need to put a water filter in our kitchen faucet too because I often use water for my cooking unfiltered.

Update On My Braces
I had my visit to the orthodontist this morning, as usual Dr. Mik is so friendly and talked to me of my holidays. I thought it was so nice of him to do that. Anyways, back to my braces, he removed the two coils in the upper part and put brackets in two of the most crooked teeth to rotate them in the right position.
I am glad he did remove those two uncomfy and bulky coils for I got so tired of them keep getting my way especially when I want to laugh or smile so big. He replaced it with just a lighter wire and a lot smaller than the latter.
Right now, my teeth are starting to hurt but I managed to eat some of the hard and dry grits that I left from yesterday. That was gonna be the last solid food I could eat until my mouth gets better and overcome the soreness due to adjustment of the braces today.

does it work?
I am one of those fortunate people walking alive on Earth for being naturally skinny. Although there were instances in my life where I got kind of big but I thought it wasn't that serious compare to obese Americans. My case was just because I had a baby and after a year giving birth, I lost weight from 105 pounds down to the current weight which is 94.6 pounds. Good eh because I don't have to use diet pills just to get rid of the unwanted flabby waist I used to have. I know for certain that there are people out there struggling to lose weight and have taken several diet pills but still no effect. Or maybe they just don't know which product to take that really works for them? Who knows.
Arlington Police Officer Killed
My heart goes to the family of the Police officer in Arlington who got killed in a deadly crash today. Craig Story is a 7-year veteran in the policing career which has just been transfered to traffic division last October of last year and today he was killed crashing into a school bus. So sorry to hear about this.
It's gonna be a tough situation for the family who he left behind but life must go on. He left a wife and a two-year old boy, tsk tsk so sad. His boy will grow up not being able to feel the love of a father.

natural sleeping aid
I chatted to a college friend of mine last night and one of our topics was that she is having a hard time sleeping at night. Insomnia seemed to kick in since she started working at a call center as an agent months ago. I wished I could help her and introduced her this natural sleeping aid I just found today. Anyways, we will be chatting again anytime soon so I will have to not forget tell her about this medication. Poor girl for I know how tiring and awful it is not getting the sleep you deserve.
what works best for you
Are you looking for dieting pills? How many brand names do you know and used for one time in your life? Do you think you haven't found that pill that will work for you? If you answer yes to that, you might want to check out www.dietingpill.org for they have top of the list pills listed on the site as well the ingredients containing each formulation just to satisfy you to help you reach your goal. I hope this website can give you an idea on what to look for in a diet or supplement pills before buying.
what makes you look young
I am impressed of technology for it has the capability to change people's lives including the way you look despite of your age. Today, the process called age spots removal is very common that most people use to make themselves look younger and good looking. It is like getting back ten years younger after they have the procedure done. No wonder celebrities look perfect to the eyes of ordinary people for they can do anything they wish to have in order to maintain their figure and good looks. They have the money so it is not a problem with them spending thousands of dollars just to stay pretty and young.

Study Room Is Ready
Our study is ready and all it needs now is to set up the desktop computer and furniture. Today my husband kept himself busy by putting up all the curtains that we bought yesterday at Ross and Lowe's. He is making a big job in doing those and I applaud him for that. The study room especially because it looks so pretty and cool to the eyes.
He painted the walls meadow light, same to our bedroom with matching greenish silvery carpet. To top with that, we bought a light blue curtain that makes BIG PLEATS which matches the hallway. For me, it's near perfect. I also put one of my indoor live plants near the window to make the look fresh. Unfortunately though I can't share pic just yet as our digital camera is dead and my cellphone is out of service.

waiting for that very day
With temperatures getting so bad lately all I could think of is going to a place somewhere warmer than Texas. That very place is probably Florida but I have been hearing on the news that they could also get in the 20s sometimes but I think that isn't permanent though. I so long to be able to have orlando vacations in the future. When is that going to happen? Nobody knows when but as long as there is life, there is hope. Perhaps, my husband will bring me to Florida someday when he decides to visit his mother and dragging us along with him in the Sunshine state.
before the big day approaches

..be sure to inform all the important people in your life about your upcoming wedding by sending them wedding invitations that you have chosen. It is the most common way often used by people to spread the big news that is going to change their lives forever, their wedding day. On the internet there are tons of wedding invitation designs to choose from, it is really up to you whether you go for a simple yet elegant designs but cheaper in price or if you choose to have a flashy one which will perhaps cost you a little bit more.

~~ My Thought Of The Day ~~
I am open to expressing my feelings to my husband. Personal or intimate thoughts I have, I can easily burst it out to him.
Amazing! After 5 years of being married to him I still find him attractive, the feelings are constant, never changing, never fading and getting stronger each passing day. The attraction I have for him is the same the very first day I laid my eyes on him in the airport of his first visit in Cebu..until this very moment I am writing this entry.
...and that is exactly what I told him last night just before we head to wonderland...and all he could do is bump me with his elbow... ah I don't know what he was thinkin' all I know is that I was very wide awake when I said all those things to him.... BOW! Drama ra dah!

Pet Sitting Business
Pets are men's best companions that I so agree. Before we had our little mixed Chihuahua dog, we had another dog which had a different breed from the current one named Giza that died of cancer. But before her, my husband have had 3 other big dogs that I forgot which breeding they were but they sure looked pretty for I've seen the pictures of his dogs. My husband is a dog lover that is why he never hesitated to give me one when I asked him to give me a pup after our Giza died.
Chichai is the name of the dog which is now our Jadyn's playmate, sister and bestfriend. We love her a lot so does my baby. One time we drove down to San Antonio and we had no one to ask to look after Chichai, we brought her with us in a painstakingly 5 long hours of drive. The dog as it was her first time to travel long distance, she throw up on her dad's lap while driving. That was so gross!
After that incident, we never ever brought Chichai again. Instead we left her in a dog hotel every time we travel to San Antonio that cost us 25 dollars a day. That's a lot of money taken out from our pocket. Huh, no wonder dog hotels, veterinary clinic and other Pet Sitting Business establishments never run out of business because too many people will need for their service and too many pets out there needing their warm comfort while their masters are gone.

Not Enough
I had a real quick nap earlier and for me it wasn't enough. I still want to get some more of my afternoon naps to make myself feel alive for the rest of the day. Right now, I feel drowsy! While the bay is asleep I am also taking advantage making my opportunities so I will be free when she is awake.
I hate it when I don't get enough nap for it makes me cranky. I woke up due to unbearable numbness in my left arm. I slept on it for couple minutes resulting to uncomfy feeling that woke me up. Oh sya sya, gotta finish all my tasks now, enough ranting so I can get back to bed.

where to look for reasonable webhosting service
When you look for something to purchase, what would you look at first? Are you one of those people that will look at the tag price first before anything else? I'm the type of person who looks for bargain in everything I wish to buy including possible purchase of web hosting someday. Currently I only have free hosting in all of my websites and so far so good.
I know time will come that I need to have my own paid web hosting. With that said, I now start searching for possible sites where I can read some reviews, offer good reliable service and most of all affordable price. So far I found this website that shows top 10 web hosting providers and web hosting reviews on their website.
Among these ten websites, five offer cheap web hosting, unlimited domain hosting, and are among the best hosting companies on the web. Top notcher hosting site on the list is the Host Monster which is rated 99% as best hosting of the customers and is offering really hot deal to them for only $3.95 a month.

Upcoming Birthday
My little girl will soon be celebrating her 2nd birthday on the 16th of this month. That will be a week from now. My friend and I were planning of having a birthday party at her house and will just invite some of our common friends who have kids to make it alive but there is a sudden change of plan.
I chose to call it quit not because I don't want to but because I won't be able to enjoy as much as they do in my Jadyn's birthday. Three days before that, I am scheduled to have my braces adjusted and as expected it's gonna be like hell for me. Awfully sore is my mouth gonna be and will be having hard time chewing on food, can't even talk when it happens.
However, I just plan of simple celebration for my girl, "inato lang" in our native language. I'll just buy her a big piece of cupcake and put a number 2 candle in it so she can blow her cake for remembrance. Would probably be cooking some bam-e for longer life.
Unlike her first birthday (was a big birthday party held in the Philippines) this time it's just gonna be the three of us and a solemn celebration.

need more office furniture
We are so ready to set up our study room. My husband made a good job in painting our study and transformed it like new. He culked, repaired the cracks on the wall and ceiling. He is a perfectionist type of person and he wants everything be done according to his wants. He painted it meadow light which is the same color as our bedroom. It's amazing how a new paint can do to an older house yet retain its original siding.
In his day off, we plan of buying curtains for our study and probably look for a new office furniture. We have few of them but they are very old. In fact, the ones that are in the study right now are what he's planning of using but geezzz they look so ugly that they don't match the newly painted room.

Overjoyed/Overwhelmed by The News!
I have known my brother's plan about him applying in a cruise line as a chef. In fact, he took some classes necessary as one of the requirements asked by the agency he was applying to ( he was really shedding sweat to complete all what is asked from him in order to get himself in to the cruise line). He had his medical and interview at the US embassy last December and told me that he passed it.
When I chatted with him last night he just said that he is bound to fly in Miami, Florida this Thursday (Philippine time), that doesn't surprise me at all since we've been talking about this long before. But then when I opened my friendster this morning, I read his bulletin about him now having a 5-YEAR US VISA, that thought alone is surprisingly overwhelming. How nice is that? He had gone this far in his own paningkamot. I was in disbelief knowing that my own family following my footstep looking for his own fate in foreign land. (Well, I have a cousin too who's in America but hmmppp padaku man siya ulo so she's an exception, proud unta pud ko niya ug wala lang siya ni lubad.)
I couldn't be more prouder of my brother knowing that acquiring a US visa isn't easy. Way to go Bro. Good luck in your endeavor and may you always keep your feet on the ground. You can stay with us if you want once your contract is over and continue working in American soil. For now, I need to take a deep BREATH as this news is too much for me. You really put me in comatose mode bro!
